angora cafe & bar, hunters hill Ayshim, 1 June 202519 July 2026 The moment I saw the Angora and the cat with different coloured eyes, I knew it was a Turkish place, and I knew the owners were from Ankara. Before I talk about the place, I’d like to talk about this unique Turkish breed of cat. Cat with HeterochromiaNot always, but sometimes this is the case with the Angora or the Ankara cat. They’re one of the ancient breeds that originated from Central Anatolia—where Ankara is located. So when I saw the sign with a cat and the name “Angora,” I just knew. Being a Turkish place, they have quite a few Turkish dishes on their menu and being a huge fan of çılbır, we decided to have their version of this delicious breakfast, lunch or brunch dish. Garlic yogurt, 2 poached eggs, sumac, spicy chickpeas, parsley, a touch of spicy melted butter, served with Turkish bread. If you want to know more about this fantastic dish, check out my post here. Angora Cafe & Bar is located at 52 Gladesville Rd, Hunters Hill, NSW 2110. They’re open 7 days a week and do breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately, there is no website or menu on their social media accounts. Angora Cafe on FacebookAngora Cafe on Instagram life in sydney sydneysydney diningturkish food
