the funniest comment i’ve ever received as a food blogger Ayshim, 24 May 202424 May 2024 I used to have a food blog, Peoples. Here you can see what my early banner of the website looked like back in those days through the lens of a Chinese search engine: My food blog was a vegetarian one with my own recipes, restaurant, cookbook and cooking class reviews and nutritional content, to be precise. At some stage, I remember having a section for entertaining and wine, too. During the time I was writing for my own blog, I had a few opportunities to be featured. Here’s some of the highlights: One of my recipes (Udon Noodles with Shiitake Mushrooms and Chilli) was published in Super Food Ideas magazine was selected as the judges’ pick which can be seen below: If you want the recipe, click here. I was a guest blogger on Istanbul Travelogue with my easy eggplant (aubergine) dip. I ran the food blog for 11 years but nowadays, it is rebranded as a health and nutrition coaching website with a membership club—which I am working on these days. In the beginning, I mean in my early blogging days, commenting underneath the blog posts was not restricted. It was out of my control, and I used to get a lot of spam. Sometimes the comments were even in Russian, trying to sell me Russian brides. If they had the chance, I’m sure they would’ve even been worried about my penis size like they do in some spam emails. You know, the penis I don’t have? It is nice to know that there are some very considerate people out there, worrying about my penis size, though. However, nothing beats the comment below. My God, after reading it, I laughed so hard my stomach muscles started to hurt 🙂 Here’s the comment: “What i don’t understood is in truth how you’re no longer really a lot more smartly-liked than you may be right now. You are so intelligent. You already know thus significantly relating to this topic, made me in my opinion believe it from so many various angles. Its like women and men aren’t involved until it’s one thing to do with Woman gaga! Your personal stuffs nice. At all times deal with it up!”Spammer What the guac? Now, even after 16 odd years, I still name my to-do lists ‘deal with it up’. I guess it is safe to say that it stuck with me. Me as a smartly-liked woman. ayshim's blog
