harvest vegetarian cookbook by adam de ath Ayshim, 5 November 20125 March 2024 Harvest Vegetarian Restaurant in Rozelle has always been one of our favourite restaurants in Sydney. Over the years, we probably had everything on the menu and decided that we like certain dishes more than others. For my husband Kumera & English Spinach Gnocchi is the one whereas I particularly like Tofu Skewers & Peanut Sauce but we always share Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls as an entree without exception. Recently, the cookbook “Harvest Vegetarian” came out and I own a signed copy of it. Adam, Harvest’s chef/owner, has great experience in cooking as well as running a restaurant. One of the reasons I like his cookbook is the fact that his experience comes through in the way the recipes are written. I once talked to Adam and Michael (Harvest Vegetarian Restaurant owners) and he they told me that the cookbook has everything they have on the menu and once the cookbook is out, they will change the menu. I honestly don’t think that happening, knowing how traditional Adam as a chef is. Still though, it’s nice to have the recipes for the dishes we’ve been enjoying at Harvest Vegetarian for many years. As the name suggests, it is a vegetarian cookbook however there are many vegan dishes (and gluten-free) or vegan options in the book. I believe some tof them even suitable for non-vegetarians. So far, I cooked Kumera & English Spinach Gnocchi with Lemon Garlic Sauce from the book but I’m sure there will be more. Here, Adam is in his element, creating vegan & vegetarian dishes in Harvest Vegetarian Restaurant’s kitchen. About the AuthorVegetarian cooking is Adam de Ath’s passion. A fully qualified chef and teacher of commercial cookery, as owner and chef of Harvest Vegetarian Restaurant for the past 14 years he’s gained a great appreciation for the humble fruit ‘n’ veg.
