Is the owner of The Grumpy Baker really grumpy? I don’t know because he wasn’t there when I popped in to have his Grumpy Falafel Bowl with friends.

Now, The Grumpy Baker has 11 branches. Things have changed since we were there on a very hot February day.

Our friends suggested The Grumpy Baker and we had really good food there. I ordered Grumpy Falafel Bowl and my husband decided to have Cilbir Turkish Eggs. You can read about my version of cilbir here.

Grumpy Falafel Bowl
Falafel, avocado, labneh, Israeli salad, spiced chickpeas, roast pumpkin, house pickles and 2 poached eggs (as seen above)

Cilbir Turkish Eggs
Poached eggs on garlic labne topped with sumac chilli oil and a side of sourdough toast (you can see a small portion of it in the photo above)
